Membership Update June 1, 2020

For those parents who are homeschooling, you are in the final stretch, well done!

Annual Member Information Update Form: Reminder these are due June 26, 2020. Failure to submit your form by this date will result in a $50 fine. If you require a new form, please ask the office.

Non-Emergency Work Orders: We are preparing to resume executing non-emergency work orders. Again, to align with the provinces phase 2 of re-opening, we will resume regular work orders on June 19. Please be patient as there is a significant back log. We are working to prioritize them in order of urgency. Work orders may not be processed in the order they were received. To process work orders under these conditions we will be adhering to the following:

  • Screening: Before entering a unit, we will be asking if any one of the following conditions apply. If anyone in the unit has had ANY symptoms in the past 14 days – cough, fever, shortness of breath, runny nose, or sore throat, or has been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or has traveled outside of Canada after March 12. If any of those conditions apply you MUST inform us and your work order will be postponed. Failure to do so puts the entire co-op at risk.
  • PPE (Personal Protective Equipment): All staff will be wearing masks and when possible gloves
  • Social Distancing: We will require any individuals in the home to remain a minimum of 6 feet away from staff.
  • Gatherings: We will not be able to execute work orders where more than 15 individuals are present indoors.

COVID-19 Update: Thank you for continuing to follow social distancing when visiting the office. While the province is in the process of re-opening social distancing remains in place. I understand that social distancing in such a tight community can be challenging and extra challenging for parents of children who may not understand. Please ensure that you are staying within the boundaries of your own yard so that your neighbours may also enjoy their yard while respecting social distancing.

Subsidy Reminder: Given the extension by the federal government to file taxes, anyone on subsidy at this time, will have until June 12th, 2020 to submit your tax information. Any changes will be processed for July 1st, 2020.

Loam: We have loam available for pick up at B50 during office hours. Please note that it will be limited to a max of 3 wheelbarrows full per household. We do not have the budget to fund unlimited quantities. If you are filling a vegetable garden, you will likely need to order your own.

Downspouts: June showers are here – please ensure that your downspouts are all down.

Landscaping: If you do not want Signature cutting your lawn please contact the office and place the green string on your mailbox or on your back doorknob. Please make it visible.

Respectfully, Lee-Ann Bainbridge

Interim, General Manager
